Though everyone around you seems to be enjoying a grand life, it is not true. Like you, the woman sitting in front of you in church or standing behind you in the grocery is struggling with difficulties in her marriage, or with wanting to be married, with her children or not being able to conceive a child, with her job or being jobless, and with overwhelming fatigue. You may feel alone but you are not alone. In my book, I encourage us to get out of what we call ruminative thinking - when you get in your head and replay your negative self-talk script -> the one that says you cannot do, change, have, achieve or enjoy anything. I share tips you can use to get out of that cycle, and also discuss how you can know when therapy might be needed to get you out of your funk.
